This roller does an adequate job of picking up water, but it just won't last out in the elements. I've tried two of them and got the same result both times. We leave the roller hanging on the fence where it is handy to dry a tennis court. In the elements it will deteriorate in just a couple of months. Best to keep it indoors when not in use.
